I designed the wedding centerpieces for my friend's wedding!
She had a transportation themed wedding, so I drew a number of different ways to get from A-B and assembled them on 4 plates. The plan was to laser-cut them out of wood and put LED lights and tissue paper inside so they would glow everywhere you see dark blue or black lines in the images. However, the laser cutter we had access to had some issues cutting through the wood and we just had some beautifully etched renderings of the images.
The four sides had finger joints running down the sides and each had a (featureless) top plate, so they could be assembled into small monoliths on the dinner tables.
Overall we were both pleased with the end result even if they weren't what we envisioned.
It was great fun drawing all of these different types of transport on Adobe Illustrator!
